After 6 months of closure on Fridays due to the spread of Corona virus, Egyptian mosques and churches will return to open their doors for prayers tomorrow while taking all precautionary measures. The government decided to close all houses of worship on Fridays since they are the most crowded days with worshipers to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

A limited fire has in the Church of Archangel Michael in Nag Hammadi after a fire broke out in some of the coffins prepared for funerals in case of deaths. The Criminal Court of Minya is going to issue its final verdict in the case of Lady of Karm village on August 24. Churches of Tima reopened today after 4 month of closure due to the spread of Corona virus. Bishop Isaac of Tima said that only 50 people are able to attend each Holy Mass in the grand churches, and 25 in the chapels, and everybody have to follow the rules of social distancing and wearing masks.
