Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has pointed out the importance and the difficulties of the Ismaily game on Tuesday, the Egyptian Premier League s 21st match-day.
"Ismaily are always powerful opponents and the game is expected to be very tough. Ahly technical staff members are aware of the importance of winning the three points in order to ensure the league lead," El-Badry, 57, told the club s official website on Monday.
With a game in hand, Ahly are currently lead of the table with 48 points, six before second-placed Ismaily.
"It s too early to talk about an early triumph. Even in the case of a win against Ismaily tomorrow, there will be a long road to continue. Ahly deal with each and every match of the competition very seriously and we reject the idea of the league as already decided," the coach said.
El-Badry has previously talked about the team s current circumstances with many defenders sidelined due to injuries, including right-winger Ahmed Fathi and central defender Saad Samir.
