Bayadi said that the decision would be approved through a voting process. He confirmed that women have the right to become priest as there are no differences between women and men.

Mona Omar, Secretary General of the National Council for Women, welcomed the announcement of Bayadi’s stance on women, saying that it was important to refute negative ideas of gender promoted by some individuals.

She added that this is considered a clear indication that the era of oppressing women, excluding them, and denying their rights has come to an end.
