Beni Suef Criminal Court considers Diabia's Copts remanded custody tomorrow

A customary reconciliation meeting was held in Wasti Police Station concerning the sectarian violence in Diabia village and reached an agreement. After five hours of argument, it was decided to compensate the Copts of 520.000 LE and to compensate the Muslims of 470.000 LE for their losses in the previous attacks. 
 
It has also approved one million LE penalty for whoever ignites sectarian violence again in the village.
 
Security officials, leaders and clergy attended the meeting to discuss solutions to escalating violence against the Copts in the village and sectarian violence between Muslims and Coptic Christians. However, none of these decisions has been put into action yet.
