Kirill I, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, received yesterday Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, in his headquarters in Moscow.
Media Centre of the Coptic Orthodox Church said that such meeting came to encourage mutual understanding and relations between the two churches.
Following the meeting, Patriarch of Moscow held a luncheon for the Egyptian delegation.
It is noteworthy that the Russian Orthodox Church is the largest independent Eastern Orthodox Church, and includes more than 125 million members among its congregation.
