Abba Gabriel, bishop of Beni Suef, said that rituals and traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Church prevents holding prayers for non-Orthodox dead people inside Coptic churches.
He explained that in certain circumstances we may pray “our father” and thanksgiving prayers only for the non-Orthodox dead people.
