Father Estiphanos, priest of St. George Catholic Church in Luxor, regarded short circuit as unlikely to be the reason behind the fire in the church since he switched off the main source of light in the church.
He added that no candles were lit in the church as well. He explained that cameras in the church will reveal many facts about the fire.
