Egypt assistant coach not satisfied with performance despite win over DR Congo

Egypt assistant coach Hany Ramzy said on Thursday that despite a 2-0 win he was not satisfied with the players performance during the DR Congo game on Wednesday night in the Pharaohs second match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations group stage.

"We achieved the victory but we are not satisfied with the performance," Ramzy told a television programme.

"We can improve the performance; we do our best during the games but we can do more,"

Mohamed Salah opened his account at the 2019 AFCON with the second goal in the game as hosts Egypt sealed smooth passage to the last 16 with the win.

Egypt, who top Group A with a maximum six points from two matches, need just a draw against Uganda (second with four points) to ensure their progress as the group leaders.

"We achieved an important thing when we qualified but the most important thing is topping the group," Ramzy said.
