Egyptians Mena Massoud and Rami Malek nominated for Teen Choice Awards

Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud and Egyptian-American actor Rami Malek have been nominated for The Teen Choice Awards.

The 2019 Teen Choice Awards nominations were announced on 19 June, with voting open to the public till 25 June. The Awards will take place on 11 August.
 
Massoud is nominated for his role as Aladdin, alongside his co-stars Naomi Scott, Will Smith and Marwan Kenzari. The film itself is also nominated for the Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie, amounting to a total of five nominations, the second highest after Endgame, which has nine nominations.
 
Malek is nominated for the Choice Drama Movie Actor for his role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. The film is also nominated for the Choice Drama Movie.
 
The Teen Choice Awards are for music, cinema, and television, with six nominees in each category that are determined through voting.
