Over the last few days, Egyptian entertainment channel DMC released a series of short documentaries presenting the variety of art institutes in Egypt.
The videos, whose lengths vary between five and 10 minutes each, come three months ahead of the submissions to those schools by potential students.
The short documentaries provide the students with insights on the academies missions, their curricula, possible career paths and successes in Egypt and internationally.
The videos feature a series of interviews with the schools deans, professors as well as a few of the most successful graduates who already work in the field of their specialisation.
The schools featured in each documentary are: the High Institute of Art Criticism, the High Institute of Cinema, the High Institute of Ballet, the Arab Music Institute, the Cairo Conservatory, the Institute for Folkloric Arts, and the High Institute of Theatrical Arts. Many of these are located in a large campus for arts in Cairo or in its close vicinity.
