Renowned Lebanese actor Nicolas Mouawad has shared with social media users an official trailer of the US movie His Only Son, in which he portrays the protagonist Prophet Abraham.
The Hollywood production chose Mouawad for the role in April 2019 from 1,700 candidates of numerous nationalities.
The film was scheduled for release this year and set to be screened at numerous international festivals, but due to the coronavirus pandemic and the shutdown of cultural venues and festival postponements, the production company has refrained from setting a specific release date.
Mouawad stars in the film alongside Sara Seyed, Ottavio Taddei and Nicolai Perez.
The film is the debut feature by writer/director David Helling, and is Mouawad s first appearance in a US production.
