His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, said that the decision to cancel Christmas celebrations comes to ensure people safety under the current exceptional circumstances of Corona virus epidimic.
He added that the celebration is spiritual and aims to prepare our hearts to receive Jesus Christ, and that church respects people’s feelings and cares for their safety at the same time.
