Two messages to the president

It was unexpected scene in St. Mark's Great Cathedral when the Pope was, following protocol, thanking the officials for congratulating the Copts on Easter. He started with the Egyptian President and the Prime Minister who belong to the fanatics that  announced it's prohibited to congratulate the Copts on their feasts. The people have not clapped at all, which is considered a sign of disrespect and disapproval.

However, the scene has completely changed upon mentioning the name of Grand Imam Ahmed al-Tayeb, Sheik of Al-Azhar. People were excited and clapping as if their favorite soccer team had scored and won a championship.

The people showed true love and appreciation for many other people like Field Marshal al-Sisi, Judge Ahmed al-Zend...and others, but not for the president and his government.

It's worth mentioning that the same love was shown for the Grand Imam during the celebration of the Evangelical community as if all Christians in Egypt love and appreciate Al-Azhar.

In fact, the first message sent to the president from the Coptic Christians in Egypt was: “We don't care about receiving the congratulation of the President, but we do care about Al-Azhar, the true representative of moderate Islam in Egypt.

Furthermore, they showed their appreciation to the Armed Forces that's able to start a new era in the Egyptian history and get rid of the current mess. Additionally, they supported the independency of the Egyptian Judiciary.

The second message was sent by Pope Tawadros during his sermons on Great Friday and Easter's Mass. In both sermons he talked about king Pilate who was so weak before his people and ignorant of their customs. Additionally, he talked about Saul of Tarsus, who has severely persecuted Christians despite being an educated man.

May the Islamic President get the two messages? May he understand that the end of a weak governor comes so soon, especially as the people welcome him no more?
