Jesus Christ among the rebels!

"People worship the weakness in Jesus Christ; however, they did not realize He was strong in every sense of power. Jesus was neither coward nor complainer, but so strong and even a rebel in many situations” said poet Gobran K. Gobran. Superficial understanding of sayings of Jesus Christ makes people think he encourages submission and servility, which is entirely untrue.

Through the life of Jesus Christ, He was full of love as well as rebellion. He rebelled against hypocrite clergy, and refused to stone a woman caught in adultery. He insisted on healing the sick on the Sabbath preaching that charitable work must be done all the time.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.” said Jesus not fearing the strong spiritual leadership of the Jews.

Moreover, He gave seven Woes on the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees saying: “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

However, Jesus, refusing the practices of his decibels, called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Our Lord Jesus answered one of the officers who stood by and struck Jesus with the palm of his hand right before the cross saying: “If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?” He did this to teach us to challenge injustice and to claim our rights.

While being judged, Jesus was very brave. When Pilate said to Him: “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?” Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

In spite of his severe suffering on the cross, Jesus didn't forget about his mother or even the thief who was crucified with Him.

Unfortunately, people worship the weakness in Jesus who was very strong, and wants his decibels to be.
