Interial Ministry secures Morsy's trial at Tora Police Institute
The Cairo Security Directorate made a security plan for the Ettehadiya events trial of deposed President Mohamed Morsy and decided that it would be held at the Tora Police Institute.

Morsy and other Brotherhood officials face  charges of inciting supporters to carry out violence against peaceful protesters outside the Ettehadiya presidential palace on 5 December of last year.

The Interior Ministry hired contractors to build two new iron gates in the street leading to the institute. The gates are expected to be finished on Tuesday. In addition, armored vehicles were stationed around the institute as an added security measure.

A security source said that security authorities decided to shift traffic courses during the trial to prevent Morsy supporters' protests from blocking the roads. The area close to the institute and the area around Tora Prison will be completely closed to traffic.

Head of Cairo Criminal Investigation Essam Saad said that the police would contribute to the Armed Forces' efforts in taking all precautionary measurements in preparation for the trial.
