Maximum wage not helpful without measures to end unemployment: Abdul Mageed

CAIRO: Wahid Abdul Mageed, leader in the National Salvation Front, criticized Wednesday assigning a maximum wage of 42,000 EGP without searching for serious solutions to end unemployment.

He said that assigning a minimum wage for governmental workers is a first step in achieving social justice.

The NSF leader told Youm7 that the workers in the administrative body of the government represent a narrow sector. He explained that there are wider groups of people that have no wages at all because of unemployment.

The government still has big steps to make to achieve social justice, Mageed added. He demanded the government to search for a comprehensive political plan that includes new ideas to limit unemployment so that social justice can spread in different classes of society.
