MB calls for reconciliation came amid internal pressure

Bishr said there will be no dialogue with the government and reiterated past calls for the reinstatement of ousted president Mohamed Morsi as a precondition to reconciliation.

Amr Emara, the coordinator of Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood alliance, said the Brotherhood chose to disclose the initiative at this time because of the threats of Al-Asala Party, the Building and Development Party and Amal Party to withdraw from the alliance.

Sources in the pro-MB National Alliance to Support Legitimacy said the three Islamic parties in the coalition pressured MB leaders to make an initiative that would reduce political tension, in light of upcoming parliamentary elections.
