Dr. Monir Dawod, president of the American Coptic Association passed away today after suffering short illness. He was known for his great love for Egypt and the Coptic cause.

For the first time in the history of Minya, two Copts compete in run-off in Malawy. Shrif Nady and Ramy Rafik have qualified for run-off in the city that an Islamic candidate used to win.
