Security services in Qena arrested a gang specialized in kidnapping Copts in Qena. The gang planned to kidnap another Coptic merchant on Christmas eve for huge ransom. The gang was arrested with weapons in their possession. The matter is currently under investigation.

Fam Berty, father of the kidnapped Coptic child Antonious, reported police about the disappearance of his child. On his way to school with his friends, the child was kidnapped by a car. The matter is currently under investigation.
