Abba Bakhoumios, Bishop of Behira and former acting Patriarch, inaugurated the church of St. Mary and St. Philopatir, in Borg Arab with Abba Bavly, the garner bishop.

In respond to the recent terrorist attacks that targeted the Coptic Orthodox Church, the church decided to produce a movie called an offering of love. Pope Tawadros and a number of bishops and family members of the martyrs have participated in the movie to assure that they face hatred and kill by love.

Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, is going to discuss challenges of Christians in the Middle East at the meeting of Patriarchs and Bishops of the Churches of the Middle East next week in Germany. The meeting will be attended by Patriarchs of the Syriac, Armenian, Ethiopian and Indian Orthodox churches where each of them will give a speech for 20 minutes.

The Second Christian Media Conference held in Beirut with the participation of Lebanese and Egyptian Christian media. Diocese of Milan, Italy, celebrated the 40th day departure anniversary of the late Bishop Kyrilous of Milan. 4 churches held the Holy Mass on that occasion that was attended by 10 bishops and the congregation of the diocese. The body of the late bishop was transferred to the new shrine prepared for him at the monastery of St. Shenouda in Milan after obtaining the due permits.

Abba Pfnotius, bishop of Samalout, held the funeral of Father Youssef Labib, priest of Archangel Michael Church in Amodeen village.

Priests and ministers of the Youth Bishopric of America and Canada hold general meeting to discuss the needs of the young people. At the meeting, a work plan was set by the ministers for the year 2018, and they are for families of the youth, activities of the youth, serving the youth and training their ministers.

Abba Bafnotius, Bishop of Samalout, ordained 58 new deacons at the Cathedral of the Savior of the World. The new deacons have studied at Hos Ebchois school for deacons at St. Paul Church in Amodin village. The Cathedral of the Savior of the World was inaugurated on Monday at the first day of the Coptic year.

Abba David, Bishop of New York, said that Copts should encourage the president Abdul Fattah al-Sisi in his mission. He added that nobody is perfect, but the bible tells us to encourage young souls and treat them in a positive way.

Father Dawoud Lamie, Coptic priest, warned about the future of Coptic youth and children in the Diaspora, especially in the United States, Australia and Canada.

Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, inaugurated on Sunday a 44-storey skyscraper in the heart of Melbourne developed by the Coptic Orthodox Church in Australia. The new skyscraper, was called Eporo Tower, and includes a large church, a bookstore, a dining hall, conference rooms, facilities for a theological college, and residential apartments. During the inauguration, Pope Tawadros II praised the efforts of the Coptic community in Australia and expressed great admiration for the new tower.

Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, laid the foundation stone of the Elderly House in Melbourne. The Elderly House belongs to the diocese of Melboune and will be named after the late priest Father Mina Rezkalla. The Popes visit to the Melbourne Diocese began last Tuesday as part of his current pastoral care visit to Australia.

Copts of Melbourne gathered in the city to receive Pope Tawadros upon his arrival to the Diocese of Melbourne. Pope was received in the airport by Abba Suriel, bishop of Melbourne. It is decided that Pope will meet with the people in the first meeting with the Coptic congregation of Melbourne since his inauguration in November 2012.

Hilmi Al-Noman, Minister of Culture, opened the second book fair, held by the Egyptian General Book Organization under the chairmanship at the Cathedral of St. Mark in Abbassia. Bishop Jeremiah, head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, honored the minister by giving him the shield of the Coptic Cultural Center.

During his pastoral care visit to Australia, Pope Tawadros II visited the monastery of St Shenouda in Sydney. Pope was received by Abba Daniel, head of the monastery and the monks. Pope has arrived in Australia after his visit to Japan where he inaugurated the first Coptic Church in the country.

Abba Abram, Bishop of Fayyoum, issued a statement to reveal the reason for his long retreat in the monastery saying that he longs to staying at the monastery as a monk and dedicate his time for prayers and worship. He explained that he wants to spend his time in this spiritual retreat till the end of his life and there is no other reason for his demand.

Pope Tawadros II returned to Cairo on Friday after attending the funeral of Metropolitan of Milan in Italy. The Coptic Orthodox Metropolitan of Milan, Anba Kyrillos, passed away on Monday 14 August, at age 65. He died peacefully in his sleep; he was late getting up in the morning, which worried those in the house. They finally decided to go wake him up, but found he had died in his sleep.
