A delegation of Coptic youth from France is currently visiting Egypt for one week. The young people have spent couple of days at Logos Papal centre at the monastery of St. Bishoy in Wadil Natroun. During the week, they participated in Sunday school service at the nearby villages of the monastery.

Patriarch Boutros Fahim, Bishop of the Coptic Catholic Church of Minya, announced the arrival of His Eminence Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, head of the Eastern Churches in Rome, and the Vatican s ambassador to Egypt, Bruno Mutzaro, arrived in Minya this morning for a pastoral care visit. They were received by many clergy including priests and nuns of various monasteries.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II issued a decision today to assign Bishop Daniel, head of St. Paula monastery in the Red Sea as a papal Vicariate of the Red Sea after the death of its bishop Abba Theofilis. The funeral of the late bishop was held today at St. Peter Church in Abbaisa in the presence of many clergy from the diocese.

Secretary-General of the Council of Churches of Egypt participated in the week of prayer for unity held at St. George Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Giza. The prayers are held in the presence of representatives from all Christian denominations in Egypt and the Christian congregation.

From January 29 to February 2, Youth Bishopric held its semi-annual conference for youth under the slogan the secret place of the Most High in the presence and patronage of His Eminence Bishop Moussa of Youth, Bishop Raphael of Central Cairo, and Bishop Michael of the Gardens of Al-Qubba, Abbasiya and Al-Wailey. The conference was attended by about 700 young men and women from 58 dioceses and discussed the protection of God to his children.
