His Grace Bishop Takla of Deshna celebrated the feast of Epiphany at the church of Archangel Michael in Rahmania village, Dishna. His grace headed the Holy Mass among the congregation and clergy at the church.

The deacon Morad Gobra was ordained a priest at the church and was called Father Abraam. It is decided that the new priest will move to Moharaq monastery to spend 40 days of spiritual retreat.

Church of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital is getting ready for Christmas Mass January 6th. The church is considered the biggest in the Middle East and is built on 15 acres and is considered a world tourist attraction.

Many people in Qusia, Assiut, claimed to have seen new apparition of St. Mary above the church of St. George in Saraqna village. Hundreds of the villagers have gathered to take the blessings of the apparition, but the church has not issued any statement concerning the spiritual event yet.

The World Organization of Al Azhar Alumni received today a delegation of the Franciscan Roman Catholic monks in Egypt. The delegation included Father Milad Shehata, the director of the Franciscan Cultural Center, Father Milad Jodeh Beshara, Father Kamal William, and Louai Mahmoud, the director of the Coptic Studies Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The delegation was received by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Fadil Al-Qousi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Organization and a number of senior officials of the organization.

Bishop Bemin of Qus and Naqada promoted the Clerical researcher George Arsanius to the rank of a deacon and announced he will be ordained a general priest next Saturday. George Arsanius was born in Luxor in 1973 and studied at the Theological Seminary before he was chosen to teach in the Semenary of Baliana and Luxor.
