Coptic Churches announced they will celebrate Late Masses during the Nativity fasting, including the churches of Beni Suef. The Masses are held between 11:00 to 13:00 or 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Hani Abdel Jaber, Governor of Beni Suef, hosted a conference to discuss ways of facing rumors wtih the participation of 500 young people and the Church and Al-Azhar. His Eminence Bishop Gabriel of Beni Suef said the reason of the late enthronement of the new bishops is a new recommendation from the Holy Synod that new bishops have to study many matters and learn from the experience of other bishops before they are enthroned on their bishoprics. He added that acquiring new experiences is curtail for new bishops including a training on financial matters.

A Coptic young lady called Amal Zarif Moawad, 19 years old, disappeared last Wednesday in the village of Enfest, Beni Suef Governorate. She left her house to go shopping, but never returned back. Her cell phone was answered by a man who asked her family not to search for her anymore. Police were reported and the matter is currently under investigation.
