The Coptic Church of Our Lady and St. Arsanyus in the city of Kapla, in southwestern Netherlands, celebrated today the seventh anniversary of its founding. The celebration was attended by His Eminence Bishop Arsani of the Netherlands, priests and congregation of the church amid the application of precautionary measures to confront the spread of the new Corona virus.

The new nuns are ordained for the monastery of Archangel Michael in Qamoula, and the monastery of the Prince Tawadros al-Mashriqi.

The Coptic Orthodox Theological College at St. Mark s Cathedral in Anba Royce started yesterday accepting a new batch for the morning and evening sections for the year 2020-2021 to get a BA in Theological Sciences. It is scheduled to accept applications for new students until the twenty-fifth of this month.

It is noteworthy that the Monastery of Saint John the Beloved in Ohio was recognized by the Coptic Orthodox Church in the last sessions of the Holy Synod in June 2019.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received Father Priest Luke Basileus, Supervisor of the Bishopric of Youth in America and Canada (ACYB) yesterday at the Papal headquarters in Cairo. His Eminence Bishop Demetrius of Mallawi, Ansna and Ashmonin, ordained a new consecrated nun at the monastery of the Virgin in the village of Deir Abu Hanas. The new consecrated nun is Tamav Barbara have spend months of the monastic probation period in the Monastery.

The meeting of the Council of the Theological Seminary College was held in Abba Royce Cathedral in Cairo in the presence of His Eminence Bishop Michael of the Churches of Hadayek El Qobba and the Vice-Dean of the College and professors of the College. They discussed the vision and the regulations of the College aiming to prepare Coptic Orthodox spiritual leaders of the Coptic congregation.

The Media Center of the Coptic Orthodox Church in cooperation with the Art Association for Development, organized a program called Future Leaders, which is a training camp that includes a number of workshops for youth between 18 and 25 years old. The training camp, which will be held between September 1 and 6, will offer online workshops to teach leadership skills, photography, script writing, directing, and editing.

The Youth Bishopric organized its annual conferences for the summer period this year through the Zoom application on the Internet from July 23 to August 7 due to the spread of Corona virus.
