His Holiness Pope Tawadros II offered sincere condolences to Bishop Hermina, General Bishop of the churches of the eastern sector of Alexandria and priests and congregation of the sector in the departure of the honorable father, Father Anthony Saad, priest of the Church of the Martyr Abi Seifin in Ambroso in Alexandria. The priest Anthony Saad passed away at the age of 68 after a priestly service that extended for more than 28 years. He was born on August 17, 1952, and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, and worked as an engineer for the National Spinning and Weaving Company. He was ordained a priest by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III on June 19, 1992.

The Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate announced today the death of Father Anthony Saad, the pastor of the Church of Abu Siffin in Alexandria. The late father died after suffering severe illness after long journey of serving his congregation.

Archbishopric of Tima celebrated the feast of St. Abu Fam of Osiem on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the exhumation of the body of the martyr Abu Fem. After the celebration, Bishop Fam of Tima opened a new nursery in the church.
