Nearly 300 people belonging to the Islamic group protested yesterday in front of the Administration building of Minya governorate, demanding the release of 1,900 detainees of the group by the former regime. Protesters cried out saying "Should we always be oppressed?" Some protesters also broke into the affiliated garden of the building after the doors were closed in front of them.

Human rights activist, Ezzat Ibrahim told Copts United that a number of thugs stopped a microbus owned by St. Mary Church, Abu al-Hadr village, Dirout, Assiut, and stole it. Ezzat explained that the thugs attacked the microbuses, when transporting students to the school of the village, attacked the driver, let the students out, then took the microbus and fled.
