I write this to clarify some truths that you might have chosen to overlook in your endeavor to secure your interests in Egypt or due to pressure applied by the US over all the countries of Europe I’m an Egyptian Copt, a dual national. I hold the Swedish nationality, so I consider myself a European citizen. I was one of seven ex-patriots sentenced to death in absentia simply for being a Christian.
However many people think that June 30 will bring the end of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, I don't think so. I believe it may only be the beginning.
I don't know how some people are optimistic about the future of Egypt after what's happening to it. Egypt has lost its position as a prestigious state with a great influence in the Middle East that President Gamal Abdel Nasser has founded the Non-Aligned Movement in conjunction with Yugoslavia and India
What's happening in Egypt now leads us to an inevitable civil war for many reasons including the horrible Constitution, about which Sheikh Borhamy said that it will allow the Islamists to raise lawsuits against anyone and for any reason they believe is insulting Islam, as well as to form an official group of "The Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice". This civil war is inevitable for many reasons including attacking judge Al-Zend by MB and their Palestinian supporters of Gaza who caused calamity to the Egyptian people since 1948. A civil war is at hand as the Egyptian people are already divided and will continue to be. A honorable terrorist announced that Egypt will be divided into faithful and non-faithful governorates. Addition, al-Qaeda has announced that Egypt will be declared an Islamic emirate soon!
First of all, I'd like to thank all people who have supported me against the fascist tyranny of the Islamic rule in Egypt, especially Mr. Mounir Bishay, Eng. Sherif Mansour, Mr. Oliver, Mr. William Wissa, sister Ghada Malak, Dr. Awad Shafik, Copts United team led by Eng. Ezzat Polous, and of course Dr. Hany Shenouda, my dear brother who is worried for my life more than myself.
One year has passed since the massacre of Maspero, when 27 Coptic Chrisitan young people were killed and more than 300 were injured. We still remember Mina Danial and his companions crushed under the Egyptian Armored vehicles by the Egyptian army which was so brave against the Coptic Christians and so coward against the terrorists of Sinai. However, leaders of the army were forced to retire and are soon to be judged for corruption, bribe and not for killing the innocent people in Maspero.
Nowadays, there are two topics that occupy the minds of all Egyptians and particularly the Copts: electing the President and choosing the Patriarch. Electing the Pope is one of the most important events in the Coptic Church, as he is the head of the church. We saw a number of bishops with dioceses were nominated for the papacy, which is against the rules that allow only general bishops and monks to be nominated.
