Nearly 300 people belonging to the Islamic group protested yesterday in front of the Administration building of Minya governorate, demanding the release of 1,900 detainees of the group by the former regime. Protesters cried out saying "Should we always be oppressed?" Some protesters also broke into the affiliated garden of the building after the doors were closed in front of them.
Yesterday, a Muslim of Abul-Hadr village, Dirout, Assiut called Salhien Salah Mohammed Murad accompanied by four thugs broke into the house of a Christian man named Hanna Aziz Malek, Human rights activist Izzat Ibrahim Izzat told Copts United.
Rami Kamel, human rights activist told Copts United that two Christians were wounded by gunshots, one in his face. In addition to a number of Muslims who were also wounded during the fight which started as clashes among Christian drivers in Warraq, Giza. Then, transmitted to a fight between Christians and Muslims when some Muslims tried to intervene to break up clashes between the drivers. Kamel said that clashes developed into using firearms. A number of Salafis tried to provoke Muslims against Christians, but some Muslim wise men intervened to stop them.
Saeed Abdel Maseeh, director of the Egyptian Center for Development and Human Rights told Copts united that the Attorney General decided to remove the name of Dr. Adel Fawzi, the head of Middle East Christians organization from the no travel list. Fawzi was banned from travelling outside Egypt after being accused of defamation of religions in 2007.

Human rights activist, Amir Fakhry, al-Kalema human rights center in Minya told Copts United that a Christian girl called Hanaa Munir Younan, 21 years old, from Bani Ebaid village affiliated to Abu Korkas, Minya, have disappeared last Sunday.
Liberal activist and writer D. Yehia al-Wakiel, has told Copts United that he intends to establish an Egyptian group that confirms the Egyptian identity as well as cultural pluralism of the country. The group will be called "Copts Brotherhood" which is going to be political and not based on religion, and all Egyptians will be allowed in, even moderate Salafies who don’t hate non-Muslims and atheists, said al-Wakiel.

Melad Kamel Garas, owner of Notre Dame school in Aswan said to Copts United, that those who attacked the school in the beginning were of Salafies and religious groups claiming that a church is being built at the school. Garas said there is a place in front of the school for nuns to rest, and during building it, Salafies and Islamist groups said that the building is going to be a church, and spread so through the microphones of the mosques, and they started attacking the place. So, the nuns panicked as they were expelled, and some of them were injured and others fainted. After that, they expelled the security men of the school, and locked the building with chains and locks and took the keys. Garas said that the investigations showed that the building is not a church, and that it is legally constructed after obtaining a license.
