Pope Tawadros II has acknowledged the first Coptic monastery in Canada, which is named after St. Antony. The 250-acres monastery will be opened next year in Perth, Ontario.

Pope Tawadros II has blessed the purchase of 250 acres of land which includes ready-to-use building on the premises of the monastery.

Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird said in a press conference that Canada disagrees with France, Germany, England and America that support ousted president Mohamed Morsy who converted a democratic regime into an autocratic one and showed no respect for the judicial system.
