As a Muslim man, many fanatics usually ask me: How come you claim that the Bible is not distorted? They also accuse me of contradicting Islam after I had published my book “In the Quran and Sunnah .. Gospel is not distorted”. However, as a journalist, I only seek the truth even if they don't like it.
Shawkat Mokri, writer, wrote in his book “World Vision” that most Muslims believe the holy bible is verbally distorted, while few of them believe Christians only interpret the text in the wrong way. Moreover, he gives some reasons the holy bible is not verbally distorted.
First he says that the Quran includes many verses that assure the text of the bible is true. However Christianity doesn't believe in the Quran, the Quran was generous enough to assure all verses in the bible are true and protected by God.
Second, God Himself is the writer and saver of the bible. He is neither weak person nor deceiver to forget about his words or change them.
Third, scientists have discovered many copies of the bible that were written before Islam, and, however, exactly match today's version as well as mention the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ that the Quran contradicts.
Logically, the bible can't be changed all over the world in a single moment. Moreover, Muslims should have kept a copy from the claimed true version in which they believe. Christians would have never agreed with the Jews to change the Old Testament in spite of many disagreements. Furthermore, how come they were able to change all translations of the bible, all over the world, and in secret!
Fanatics should stop believing in verbal distortion, and agree that the mentioning distortion in the Quran is concerning wrong interpretation. Maybe Christians and Muslims should find a common interoperation instead of talking about an imaginary lost text. Finally, as a Muslim, I hope my fellow Muslims accept the Christians and show that Islam doesn't hate different people or call them infidels.
