Gerges Bebawy, lawyer, told Copts United that Sheik Abu Islam was sentenced to 11 years for tearing up the bible, inciting sedition and being threat to peace and public security.
He said that however the judgment is still subject to appeal, it should bring some satisfaction to many Christians who were affected by his repeated contempts of Christianity and insults.
