Adel Khayat, recently appointed mayor of Luxor, has announced his resignation from the office after many people had objected about the choice to appoint member of the group that killed many tourists in Luxor in 1997.
Building and Development Party, political arm of the Islamic Group to which Khayat belongs, held a press conference today in which it announced that the opposition sought refuge in foreign countries and fool the public in Egypt in order to seize power and get rid fo the elected president, which they will never allow to happen.
