Dreams of Change

Before the revolution of January 25, the Egyptians dreamed about change. They wanted to change the regime as well as the old ideas; change repression and violation of human rights; change the culture of rejection of the others.

The Egyptians first participated in a campaign launched by the National Assembly to Change, demanding 7 basic changes in political life. Then, the assembly launched another campaign aiming to raise awareness of political rights. In fact, many Egyptians have suffered from fear after policy of repression and oppression was applied by  Mubarak's regime against its opponents.

Then, the revolution of January 25 brought millions of Egyptians in the streets demanding freedom and social justice. This was started by excited young people seeking better future for Egypt. Soon, many people jointed the revolution. However, some pushy people tried to steal it and ascribe it to themselves, then, terrorists replaced the pure young people. Later, a fugitive criminal became the new Egyptian president under unstable political life and an unprecedented state of religious polarization.

For one year, the Muslim Brotherhood and their president tried so hard to sieze all the joints of the state and to eliminate all national forces. However, under outrageous economic crisis, the Egyptians saw great danger coming. Thus, on June 30, millions of Egyptians demonstrated again against the ugly regime of the Muslim Brotherhood hoping for change. Shocking floods of peaceful and civilized Egyptian people have covered all Egyptians squares in order to restore Egypt and regain the trust of civilized countries in Egypt.

In fact, the revolution of June 30 marks a new era to reconcile all Egyptians. It is a great dream that came true, and a new Egypt that is about to be born.
