In a speech to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the July 23 revolution, Interim President Adli Mansour called for turning over a new leaf in Egypt.
"It is time to build a country reconciled with the past and the future and with itself ... Let reconciliation sink in our minds and hearts so we can find it in our lives," Mansour said on Monday evening.
"No spite or hatred, no clash or division."
"We will move forward towards our goals, freedom and justice... we believe in the greatness of our people," Mansour said.
Mansour's speech was broadcast on the Egyptian state television.
