I do not talk usually about a special treatment or affirmative action for the Copts. Yet, they suffer now from threats, intimidation and even killing. Here, we should stop to think. The Islamists have decided to take revenge of the Copts; however, they have done nothing.
John Kerry, Obama and Patterson have decided to defend the criminals of the Muslim Brotherhood, rather than the armless Copts. Do they feel comfortable with guns in the Egyptian streets like they do in Hollywood's action movies?
The European Union never defends the Copts. In fact, it is but a slave for the American Administration that only objects when its economy and financial interests are badly affected.
Moreover, the Arab countries have never defended the persecuted Copts in Egypt.
Even the Coptic Christians themselves won't defend themselves, as they follow the bible that says: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.”
Despite the nobility of the evangelical commandments, I can't apply these verses with the Muslim Brotherhood who attack the Coptic Christians merciless and brutally.
Let's be honest when dealing with violence, and let the American Administration understand that Egyptian police and army have decided to arrest terrorists and not political activists. America declared war against Iraq and killed many innocent Iraqi people as they thought Iraq has nuclear weapons. Looks like the current fool administration is repeating the foolishness of its antecedent.
