Another Gulf emir praises Egypt’s military for trying to destroy Muslim Brotherhood. Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan praised Sunday the role of Egyptian Army in the “critical and complicated” conditions of the country, and its ability to restore order.Middle East News Agency (MENA) said the remarks by Al-Nahyan, also Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, came during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces Abdulfattah Al-Sisi.
Al-Nahyan commended the awareness by the Egyptian people of challenges surrounding them, expressing hope that they bear national and historic responsibility in the upcoming period.
Discussion between the two sides also focused on developments locally and in the region, and the renew of UAE support to Egypt’s government and people, and to implement through steady steps Egypt’s future road map.
The meeting was attended by high ranking military commanders, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, and delegations of both sides.
Earlier, Egypt’s Interim President Adly Mansour met with Al-Nahyan, who is visiting the country along with an official high level delegation.
