“Egyptians in Austria” demands representation in constitution amendments committee

Union of Egyptians in Austria issued a statement to denounce excluding Egyptian immigrants from the 50-member committee to amend the 2012 constitution. And expressed its solidarity with the Egyptian Union in Europe, which denounced the formation of the 50-member committee as well.

 

Hassan Moussa, head of the union, said that there are about 8 million Egyptians abroad, which represent about 10 % of the Egyptian population. This means they should participate in drafting the constitution of their country and building their country.
