High school student imprisoned for pro-Morsy chants

An 18-year-old high school student was sent to four days imprisonment pending investigation for chanting pro-Morsy slogans in school.

Khaled Eid, a student at Azhar High School in Minya, was referred to Beni Mazar Prosecution after being accused of seizing the loudspeaker from the hands of the school principal during morning assembly and chanting slogans in support of deposed President Mohamed Morsy.

He faces the charges of attempting to cause chaos between students and urging them to protest.
