The Egyptian Cabinet decided to hold its weekly meeting at the Civil Aviation Ministry, located close to Cairo International Airport.
The Cabinet's weekly Wednesday meetings are normally held at the Investment Ministry in Salah Salem Street.
This is the third time ministers have relocated meetings following threats.
Protesters tried to occupy nearby Tahrir Square on Tuesday to stage protests demanding the return of ousted President Mohamed Morsy and clashed with security forces, locals and passers-by who forced them out of the square.
Morsy supporters also announced plans to stage massive protests on the anniversay of the October War.
