Father Matthias Nasr, priest of St. Mary Church in Ezbet El-Nakhl and founder of the Maspero Youth Union, has denied accusations of trading on Maspero martyrs through a Canadian association called “Society of St. Paul to take care of victims of sectarian violence".
Matthias said that the association collects money for any victims of sectarian violence, and have sent him money that was distributed on the families of the victims of Maspero after signing a receipt.
He added that he is not even a member of the society, which would have been such an honor to him.
