A statue of Jesus Christ has been installed in Syria by St. Paul and St. George association, a charitable Syrian non-profit organization. The bronze statue was raised at the top of the Cherubim mountain near the town of Sednaya north of Damascus.
The huge statue weighs several tons and consists of three parts that represent Jesus Christ, Adam and Eve. Moreover, it could be seen with the naked eye from Lebanon, Jourdan, and Palestine.
It's worth mentioning that the Syrian army has suspended all military operations for three days in the area to enable the association to install the statue hoping it will help spreading peace in the country.
