CAIRO: Abdallah, owner of a traditional café in Cairo, innovated a new way to promote his business as he suffered lately from people not coming to his café. He decided to deliver drinks and shisha in order to keep his business running.
He opened his café 20 years ago, when things were not the same. People back then came to have a drink and to smoke shisha, but lately customers were not so keen on going to the café. Abdallah started to offer a new service to keep his business running by delivering drinks and shisha to his customers’ homes.
A 15-years old boy named Sa’ed helps Abdallah to deliver drinks and to prepare and deliver shisha, he told Youm7.
Strangely this process affected Abdallah’s business negatively, as customers became dependent on delivery and did not go to the café at all anymore. Especially old people who do not prefer to sit around noisy youth stayed away.
