CAIRO: Journalists withdrew from the 50-member committee press conference held by head of the committee Amr Moussa and Sameh Ashour, chairman of the Lawyer Association, protesting the refusal of the committee members to answer their questions.
Moussa and Ashour left the conference after delivering a speech commenting on what a national newspaper published over a deal between them and refused to answer any questions.
They asserted that the accusations in the newspaper story are not true and described that it as a lie and conspiracy to thwart the committee and an attempt to frustrate the road map.
The journalists required answering their enquiries concerning the same subject, but Moussa and Ashour refused. The reporters decided to leave the conference as well after Moussa’s departure, despite efforts of spokesperson of the 50-member committee Mohamed Salmawy who offered the journalists to answer questions.
