It is with great excitement to announce to you the first Coptic Orthodox Monastery in Canada! St. Anthony’s Coptic Monastery will be located in Eastern Ontario in the city of Perth. H.H. Pope Tawadros II has blessed the purchase of 250 acres of land which includes ready-to-use building on the premises of the monastery.
The monastery will be opening in the beginning of 2014 and will serve the entire Coptic Orthodox population in Canada. The monastery has the capacity to serve as a spiritual retreat centre for church groups and individuals.
With all this exciting news, the monastery is in need of your help! First and foremost, prayers are needed! We also need your support, please spread the word about the monastery to all the youth you may know across Canada. And please take part in taking the blessing of building the first ever monastery in Canada.
