CAIRO: The expulsion of the Turkish ambassador and the boycott of the relations with Ankara will affect the Turkish economy more than Egypt, said the spokesperson of Tagammu Party Nabil Zaki, on Sunday.
Zaki explained the Turkish investments in Egypt reach U.S. $2 billion and 200 factories.
Zaki also pointed out Egypt delayed the agreement in stock market between Egypt and Turkey, which confirmed that Egypt will not be affected by the boycott of these relations greatly.
Tamer al-Qady, member of the political bureau of the Revolutionary Forces coalition said it is a late step, and it should have been taken when Recep Tayyip Erdoğan interfered in Egyptian affairs, insisted on supporting the Brotherhood and financing it and threatening Egyptian national security.
Al-Qady stressed in statements to Youm7 the necessity to establish campaigns to boycott Turkey and its products.
He called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to submit a complaint regarding Turkey at United Nations Security Council as it interferes and threaten the Egyptian national security.
Mohamed al-Khazragy, a member of the Leading Committee of the Union of Progressive Youth said that the decision of the expulsion of the Turkish ambassador is respectable. He called on the Egyptian people to boycott all the Turkish products.
Meanwhile, the Salafist Front, one of the Muslim Brotherhood supporters, condemned the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Cutting the relation between Egypt and Turkey is a politically naive decision,” said Khalid Said spokesperson of the Salafist Front.
Popular Current Spokesperson Heba Yassin told Youm7 that this is a suitable reaction against Turkey since they crossed the lines in their relationship with Egypt.
Yassin added that Turkey became a supporter and a stronghold for the International Muslim Brotherhood Organization, which is allegedly plotting attacks in Egypt.
