Egyptian and Saudi naval units have started the joint training called ‘Morgan 14’, which will last for few days around the Red Sea naval base.
Several Arab and African countries are taking part as observers.
The training include activities on planning for and managing joint day and night fights in collaboration with air forces as well as maritime interdiction, searching for submarines and providing fuel while sailing and others.
The trainings come within plan by Egyptian and Saudi armed forces to enhance abilities of their forces in accordance with new methods of naval fighting.
