CAIRO: The Journalists’ Syndicate, in cooperation with the General Union for Palestinian Women, will celebrate the International Day for Solidarity with the Palestinian People on Sunday at 5 pm in the Journalists’ Syndicate.
The celebration will include speeches for the General Union of Palestinian Women, Journalists’ Syndicate, United Nations, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a League of Arab States representative, and the speech of the Palestinian Ambassador to Cairo.
This will be followed by a documentary and honoring the Palestinian children participating in the activity with their art works. To conclude, the Palestinian Sunflower Band will present a performance.
The International Day for Solidarity with the Palestinian People is an annual observance organized by the United Nations on Nov. 29. The U.N. also recently declared that 2014 will be the Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
