Sectarian clashes between Muslims and Copts broke out last week in the province of Minya in Upper Egypt, leaving four people dead and dozens injured.
Eyewitnesses said that police has not intervened to save the Christians and their houses, but rather left them and only protected the church.
Clashes broke out again between Muslims and Copts in Al-Badrman village over an alleged love affair between a Coptic man and a Muslim woman, which led hundreds of angry mobs to set houses of Coptic Christians on fire and explode them using gas tanks.
