Activits demand for justice at press conference in Journalists Syndicate

CAIRO: Eleven revolutionary movements and political parties and 15 political activists called for an organized protest at Talaat Harb Square on Monday.

They called for the protests during a conference at the Journalists’ Syndicate on Sunday, which will take place during the decision of the detention appeal of the 25 activists, who were arrested in front the Shura Council during the protests last Tuesday.

The activists said during the press conference that they will start a group of protesting activities. It will start on December 7 with a protest demanding the ban of military trials for civilians without exceptions and demanding to cancel the protest law.

The activists said the protest law is killing the January 25 Revolution and encouraging politicians to take advantage of the current instability and fear. They said police forces dispersed the protesters in front of the Shura Council by brutal force.

During the conference, political activist Rasha Azab said 25 activists were arrested during the dispersion of the protests rejecting the military trials and are in jails now. She said that will not stop them from continuing their revolution.
