CAIRO: Shaaban Abdel Alim, assistant secretary general of the Nour Party, ruled out running a referendum on the constitution in the coming period, referring to students’ protests.
“It’s more than saying yes or no in a referendum, because the state witnesses a stage of polarization. I doubt to run a referendum in such state,” Abdel Alim told Youm7 on Tuesday.
The Nour Party, which participated in the 50-member committee, stated Monday the party is discussing its situation towards voting on the constitution.
